This workshop will focus on a program used in both the LA and OC jails to help the inmates grow, both spiritually and emotionally. You will have a chance to try the first few weeks of the program (think: a really little bit of homework) as well as hear stories of transformations that occurred because of this work. Rabbi Linda Seidman had a full career as a biostatistician and an aerospace engineer and manager before attending the Academy for Jewish Religion, California (AJRCA)and receiving Semicha in 2010. She currently serves as a community rabbi, working with several hospices and officiating at weddings and funerals. She created a program for working with the incarcerated and currently uses that program in the Orange County Jail system.
