In this 12-week survey course, we will examine teachings from the foundational ideas of the Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist, Renewal, and Humanistic Jewish perspectives. Rabbi Sobel will share her own understanding and thinking and we will engage in lively discussion. The course is based on the book “Open Judaism: A Guide for Believers, Atheists, and Agnostics” by Rabbi Barry L. Schwartz (published by the Jewish Publication Society, 2023)*.
