Mary's Kitchen Sandwich Making
We will make approximately 100 sandwiches and decorate individual sandwich bags. Please bring a small jar of your favorite jam or jelly.

Mary’s Kitchen distributes food, clothing, and hygiene products every day from 9am-3pm. They care for homeless men, women, and families by meeting basic nutrition, clothing, and hygiene needs. See wish list for donation ideas below.

Pawsitively Precious
OC Animal Care is a shelter for unwanted dog, cats, rabbits, and other animals. Families will make bandanas for dogs up for adoption and bag homemade dog treats for adopted dogs.  Heat socks will also be made for kittens.  Please bring one bag/box of dog biscuits, new or gently used clean towels or blankets will be appreciated. No comforters, large pet beds, sheets, or pillows will be accepted. See wish list for donation ideas below.

Wish List Collection Center
(benefiting Mary's Kitchen, The Friendly Center, MOMS OC and Homeless Intervention Services of Orange County)
These agencies together provide services to help families and individuals in times of crisis and poverty; food banks, tutoring, employment, hygiene products, clothing, etc.  Volunteers will organize items from wish lists on the registration form. We need someone to take collected items to Homeless Intervention Services in Placentia. Please contact Shelly or Cindy if you are able to help distribute. See wish list for donation ideas below.

All About Beads
Beaded bracelets will be created and donated to women's shelter. We hope these beautiful creations will bring smiles to women in need. Special thanks to Ilene Sirota for leading this mitzvah project.

Heroes In Red
Come decorate sugar cookies for local firefighters in appreciation for their service and dedication to our community. Decorate bags for cookies and write notes of thanks. Special thanks to Lynn Kontur for leading this mitzvah project.

We need one or two families to deliver cookies to the locally chosen fire station in Santa Ana following the event. Please contact Shelly or Cindy if you are able to help distribute.

Brownies for Monica's Mitzvah Meals
Participate in baking brownies for the dessert portion of the meals sent twice a month to Southwest Community Center. Bring your apron and one box of brownie mix.

Reading with Angels and Creating Bookmarks
Please bring gently used and new books (for children & teens) for distribution to local shelters, hospitals, and Ronald McDonald House. New books will go to pediatric cancer patients at St. Joseph's Hospital in Orange & Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo. You can also decorate bookmarks to go with some of the books.

Cozy Lap Blankets
Help us create cozy lap blankets for our senior citizens and others needing assistance in our local residential homes as well as local animal shelters. No sewing necessary as we are tying knots at the ends, similar to the tzitzit of a pray shawl where blessings are tied into each knot. Special thanks to TBS Sisterhood for sponsoring this mitzvah project.

Letters to Israeli Soliders, Vets, & Hospital Patients
Write letters to Israeli soldiers, American veterans, and hospital patients and decorate them with crayons, markers, and paints.

Bone Marrow Registry
Every 27 seconds someone somewhere in the world is diagnosed with blood cancer. Only 30% of patients are able to find a compatible donor in their family. Consider registering to be a bone marrow or stem cell donor with a simple swab.

The Beat Goes On
Decorate musical shakers, put ribbons on tambourines and help create beautiful instruments where some will be donated to local residential facilities and some will support music programs for students at TBS.

Potting Plants
Decorate pots with stickers, beads, and paint before potting plants to be distributed to senior living facilities we are serving.

Notecard Creations
Create all occasion card with watercolors, colored pencils, and paint markers. The cards will given time to dry before being distributed to senior living facilities and Ronald McDonald House, as well as TBS members on our Mi Sheberach List.

Activity Booklets for Seniors
Create booklets with crossword puzzles, word searches, and sudoku for seniors to be distributed to seniors in assisted living facilities we are serving.

Yesh Tikva #OneCandle
Yesh Tikva, Hebrew for “There is Hope,” was established to end the silence and create a Jewish community of support for all Jewish people facing infertility. The purpose of #OneCandle is to light one extra candle each Shabbat to recognize and pray for those struggling with infertility. Decorate a glass votive holder to take home and share in the hope of Jewish families.

Ronald McDonald House Mother's Day Boxes
Fill boxes with essential items every mother needs, especially those at Ronald McDonald House. They experience hours of waiting and worrying as they accompany their children to the hospital. These boxes would be a welcome way to find comfort.
